Note
Oh shit I just realized that Sir Pen is gonna learn that Alastor sold his soul. Cause I'm assuming that people who sold their souls look different then those who didn't. THAT'S gonna be a reaction. Or he's gonna assume "Eh, it's Al. Maybe that's just what it looks like normally."
How dare you look at my mental notes-
I imagine he'd be too scared to look at Alastor's soul at first because "what if he can tell I'm looking at his soul?? 😭😭"
And then he gets the balls to do it and just goes "HOLY SHIT YOU SOLD YOUR SOUL??" because y e a h, sold souls look quite distinct compared to souls who still belong to their mortal bodies! the chains may look different but they are still there nonetheless
Rip penne, you were a real one pfffff-

"What?!" a shocked Benkei exclaimed. "Kyoya agreed to train you? That's not fair. I've asked him a billion times, begged him even, but he never took me on his training journeys with him. I'm jealous. Hmph."
"Don't worry Benkei," Kiara chuckled. "I'll tell you all about it, every little detail, so that it'll feel like you've gone and trained with him yourself. How's that sound?"
"B-b-b-bull!" the boy screeched excitedly. Kiara plugged her fingers in her ears from fear of her eardrums bursting. "Oh, I can't wait to hear all about it, Kiara buddy!" She gasped for air as he engulfed her in one of the tightest hugs she had ever experienced.
"What's all this ruckus about?" Gingka fussed, walking into the room, clearly annoyed. "I was eating my lovely, juicy burger and you just HAD to interrupt, didn't you?"
"Kiara's gonna get trained by Kyoya! Can you imagine? Kyoya agreeing to train someone?" Benkei blurted. Gingka took a seat on the couch, Benkei sitting next to him.
"It is new to see Kyoya agree to train someone he's only met once," the redhead began. "But I think it's because he wants to find out who this strong blader is, and because Kiara is hiding it, he has no choice but to train her so that he can find out more about them. Sounds like Kyoya if you ask me. He also wants to battle you, doesn't he Kiara?"
"Yes he does," the girl responded. "But he said he doesn't want to battle me now, especially since I'm so weak and haven't battled in a while. Plus, I just got a new bey and haven't mastered it at all, so there's no way he would want to battle me. It would be too easy for him and from what I know, Kyoya doesn't like easy battles."
"I see," Gingka concluded. "He wants to train you to become just as strong as you used to be, so that he can battle the real you. Wow, he's smart. Did he tell you what kind of training you guys would do?"
"No, he didn't mention anything just yet," Kiara replied. "However, he did say that he wouldn't be available to train me all the time and that I shouldn't depend entirely on him."
"I could train you on the days that he can't," Benkei suggested.
"Yeah, Benkei. That works," Gingka commented. He sat there for a moment in thought before looking at Kiara and speaking again. "Do you feel fully healed?"
"Hmm..." Kiara wondered momentarily. "Not quite. I think a couple more days should do before I'm back to normal."
"Okay," Gingka spoke. "In that case, take these couple of days to relax, and once that's over, you'll have a training session with me and Benkei first. We need to see if you're strong enough to properly launch a bey and you need to get used to using Cassiopeia before you go and train with Kyoya. His training techniques are quite risky but they sure do increase your strength."
"Yeah, he's right, Kiara" Benkei chimed in, standing up. "You can't go and train with a completely new bey before you've even used it once and gained some sort of control over it. I'll talk to Kyoya for you and tell him not to rush things since you still need to heal, okay?"
"Thanks guys," Kiara smiled brightly, appreciating the kind gesture from the two boys. Benkei wished the other two goodnight before leaving them to their own devices.
A few days passed before it arrived, 'it' being the day Kiara would first use Cassiopeia. She had been woken up in the early hours of the morning by Benkei, who was even more excited than she was to go and train. They both decided to get a head start on the training since Gingka was still asleep and Kiara didn't want to wake him up; he just looked too peaceful. The two travelled to the nearest park and did multiple laps around it to strengthen Kiara's legs since she had been in bed healing for a while. After that, Benkei made her do all sorts of simple exercises that he knew would be beneficial to her but wouldn't tire her out too quickly. He made sure to support her whenever he noticed she was struggling with a task and constantly reminded her not to push herself too far in case she got hurt. Then, it was onto the practice launches. Kiara was made to do at least 100 practice launches, Benkei altering her stance each time to ensure the perfect launch for when she actually used her new bey.
"99!" she counted.
"Lift your elbow a little higher," he spoke, adjusting her arm as he did so. "Perfect." He stepped back. "One more. You can do it."
"100!"
"Hey guys," their attention was diverted to Gingka who looked like he had just woken up. "How's it going?" he mumbled drowsily.
"Gingka, it's 3pm," Kiara deadpanned, lowering her launcher.
"Wha-?!" he exclaimed, looking around frantically for a clock. His eyes widened once he finally set his eyes on the clock in the park. "But my clock at home said 10am!" he exclaimed, continuing to ramble on whilst waving his finger around at the park clock, disbelief visible in his eyes and tone of voice.
"Looks like you have a broken clock," Benkei commented, chuckling.
"Hey guys, what are you talking about?" Kenta asked as he approached the rest of them, greeting both Benkei and Kiara individually before standing to look at Gingka, who was still unable to believe it was 3pm. 3:10pm now.
"My guy Gingka over here has a broken clock, Kenta," Kiara explained, looking at the young boy with an expression that conveyed pure confusion. He's been screaming at the clock for the past 11 minutes now. It's so embarrassing. When will it end? she wondered in disbelief.
"Gingka, shut up will you?!" Benkei yelled. "We need to train Kiara so that she can use her bey properly!"
"Oh yeah," Gingka realised, snapping out of his one-sided argument with the park clock and heading towards the three that stood there waiting for him.
"Gingka, sometimes," Kenta began. "Just sometimes, I wonder how we're friends."
"Heyyyy," Gingka frowned. "That's not nice now, is it?"
"Neither was having to witness you argue with an inanimate object for eleven minutes, Mr. Hagane," Kiara interfered jokingly.
"Don't act like you've never argued with an inanimate object before!" Gingka pointed his finger in the girl's face. She crossed her arms, turning her head away from his finger and disagreeing with the red-haired boy. "Well, what about that one time that you..."
"That I what? Huh? That I what?" Kiara retaliated, her gaze shifted back to Gingka.
"That you... um..." Gingka trailed off, unable to come up with something to use against her.
"Ha! That's what I thought."
"THAT ONE TIME THAT YOU YELLED AT THE WASHING MACHINE BECAUSE IT SHREDDED YOUR UNDERWEAR!" he unexpectedly announced, loud enough for people on the other side of the world to hear.
"WHA-?! GINGKA YOU'RE NOT MEANT TO SCREAM THAT TO THE WHOLE JAPANESE POPULATION!"
Unsurprisingly enough, Gingka's words had caught the attention of practically everyone in the park. Just perfect. What an amazing day! Kiara cried internally.
